It makes us wonder how far these results are representative of the situation in our own and similar cultures and what the causes are.

Conscious and subconscious 2. 3. The subconscious is like the automatic pilot of my personality. It often works for reasons, based on instructions that it received. But those instructions are not helpful to me now. The reasons (in this case for the anxiety) whatever they might be are a hindrance. What I consciously think about I subconsciously react to. So if I’m thinking about being anxious, my automatic pilot reacts with feelings of anxiety. This is also true if I try not to feel anxious.
